The Amber Forest

This is the domain of the Autumn Queen , a domain in the feywild that corresponds with the Nightwood in Karrnath .
The domain is primarily made up of areas of thickets made up of thick roots, thorny vines, tree branches that scratch and pull at clothing, and so on. At the center of this realm there is a massive gnarled tree, large enough to hold within in the palace of the autumn queen.
Domain Theme: Gloomy. Everything here has a gloomy cast and hints at decay, the end of things, harvest, and coming darkness.
Fey Crossings: Fey crossing appear here and there in the Nightwood. They are always hollow trees, always oaks, and to use the crossing a creature must be carrying an acorn from that tree. The acorns do appear to be magic.
Shortcut Routine: Near each fey crossing, once you pass into the Amber Forest, you will find a stream, and with a quick search you will find mushrooms growing near the bank. Eat one of the mushrooms and stare at your reflection in the pool and you will find yourself at the bank of another stream within sight of the Autumn Queen's Massive tree palace.
To find your way back to an exit, add birch firewood to a campfire and sing a folk song called "Amber Secrets", which is a song about love that ends at the end of summer. (Sung to the tune of "Summer Loving", but in a minor key)
Drama: The Autumn queen's domain is being damaged by the Quori work being done by the Hiath Phela. From the feywild side, it feels like the forest is being eaten by a great darkness that they cannot explain.
Weird Magic: Time passes differently in the Autumn Forest (more slowly). Every hour spent in the domain is a day outside the region.

Locations in the Amber Forest

• Maze of Falling Leaves - an irregular maze of forest, with impassible thickets for walls and dotted with massive trees that are perpetually shedding beautiful red, orange, and yellow leaves.  This is the primary entry to the realm of the Autumn Queen, so all of the hollow tree gates that connect to other plans exist here in the maze.  The Maze forms a ring around the other locations in the forest.  
• Garden of Twilight - Past the Maze of Falling Leaves is the Garden of Twilight, a gloomy place that is a garden of dry plants, cut stalks and stems, and fountains that have no water.  
• Oak and Acorn Palace - This is the Autumn Queen's palace and banquet hall, built into an absolutely colossal tree.  
• Hourglass Tower -- The tower of Mydaiel  , the queen's high wizard, a powerful chronomancer. 
• Crepescular Hollow -- the barracks and training ground of the queen's Owlin guard, led by Qhoot.
