Gabriel ir’Rochefort, Respected Count of Teryk.
He and his brother are the only remaining members of a once-great noble bloodline. Greed and ambition destroyed this family, once named Rosefort after their ancestral home. The family has since been dominated by the bloodline of High King Galifar ir’Wynarn. Galifar, King of Kings, forced the Roseforts to change their name to Rochefort or face execution. Now, the only two remaining ir’Rocheforts are themselves descendants of that same arch-king. To add insult to injury, the grand history of the Roseforts has been all but erased. The only remaining evidence of the Roseforts’ greatness resides far beneath the Rosefort of Teryk and in the ephemeral personal memory of Gabriel and Bo ir’Rochefort.
Gabriel ir’Rochefort is convinced that Bo ir’Rochefort intends to kill him and take his place as the Count of Teryk. Therefore, he has quietly married the adventurer Tabitha Dragonthorn and intends to sire a legitimate heir as soon as possible. Gabriel has also formed a pact with the Archduke Mammon and, through mass sacrifice, he has gained many dark powers. Gabriel detests his family’s fall from greatness, and he fully intends to, one day, become King of Karrnath. Gabriel wishes for the eradication of the ir’Wynarn family, and he is involved in a conspiracy to kill King Kaius ir’Wynarn III, which is led by Princess Rosalyn ir’Wynarn, the King’s aunt.
