Escali's Emporium (Es-cal-e)
One of the most intricate buildings in Rivercross, Bruno Escali's Emporium acts as a general store and a store for rare magical components. It is run by the eccentric Bruno Escali.
Purpose / Function
To provide a place for wealthier travelers or merchants to purchase basic supplies or magical components.
Architecture
The architecture of Escali's Emporium stands out heavily among the other wooden buildings of southeast Rivercross. It resembles a large limestone gazebo-shaped building with a multicolored stained glass dome roof. The stained glass ranges in multiple shades of yellow, green, and pink. The inside of the store is always lit by multicolored lights coming from the ceiling, and many seemingly random items litter shelves placed around the room's perimeter. Behind the store's counter is a trapdoor that leads to the basement (which acts as Bruno's bedroom and the shop's storeroom).
Defenses
Bruno Escali is a skilled wizard (mage stat block) and is prepared to defend his shop from thieves.
Tourism
Escali's Emporium only really attracts travelers, as the items sold are usually too expensive for everyday commoners.
