Hook and Sinker

Hook and Sinker is one of the few establishments built for the locals of Rivercross instead of travelers. The tavern is built out of cobbled stone right off of the main path to the right of Stendar's Bridge coming from the northwest side of Rivercross. A small dock extends off the back meant for fishing, which is where the tavern gets its name. It is run by Henna "Hook" Tripline and Erini "Sinker" Tripline, a married halfling couple. Henna usually acts as barmaid while Erini acts as barkeeper.

Purpose / Function

To provide a place for the workers of Rivercross to unwind after a hard day of work (or for them to fish if they want).

Architecture

The building resembles a large fishing hut made from cobbled stone, with a rough wooden sign depicting a fish and the words "Hook and Sinker' hung above the door.

Defenses

Erini fought in the Lyrinian War as a soldier of House Holsend.

Inventory

• A dish of cooked fish slathered with butter with a side of bread for 5 Cp
• Ale for 2 Cp a mug
• Use of rented fishing tackle and bait for 1 Cp an hour (there is no restriction on bringing your own fishing rod and bait)
• Fishing tackle for 1 Gp

Plot hooks

• On a corkboard in the tavern is a missing poster depicting a Dragonborn roughly painted in red. Below the drawing are words that read: "MISSING! Anyone who can give Ley'an Brandür in Bella's Boutique information on this man will be rewarded. His name is Ley'o Brandür and needs to be found."
