House Slynarri (Sleh-narr-ee)

A powerful Ruthorian noble house, the Slynarri family is known for their unusual faith in the goddess Erathis. Although they revere her above every other god, they also link her law with the laws of nature, preaching unity with the plants and beasts of the forests, a semi-heretical belief in the Ruthorian Empire.

Structure

All Ruthorian noble houses have a familial hierarchy, with the eldest member of the noble family holding power (unless they are deemed unfit to do so, like if they are going senile in old age). One cannot marry into power within a noble family even if they are the oldest, as they have no noble blood. As long as one of a child's parents has noble blood in them, they are considered viable for power within the family. A member who has been disowned cannot claim power.
