Blood

Blood is a term used by many people in Barovia, often referring to the miraculous blood discovered in the great labyrinths underneath Barovia. According to Vicar Leo Dilisnya, the Blood was originally found deep beneath Castle Ravenloft by the devil, Strahd Von Zarovich in what he refers to as, the 'tombs of the Gods.' The Devil planned to keep this substances away from the people, but in his infinite wisdom, Leo Dilisnya saw the potential usage of the blood and departed from the castle, with some of the blood in hand. He formed the Blood Church and has been studying the blood, quickly spreading it to the public as a miraculous treatment, promising the sacred blood can cure any disease.
 
Which it has. Any people who takes the blood is cured of any disease or ailment, and many wounds treated by Blood Ministration are healed. This knowledge of this holy medium, and the knowledge that Strahd was kidnapping and experimenting on people, the people revolted against the devil; destroying Castle Ravenloft in the process.
