Malartis Halinarial

Malartis is the owner of Malartis's Flashbag. He moved into Varrimore shortly after its founding in 1328 and with the help of others in the community, built his house. He began to construct a number of magic items to help out the community, but eventually stopped his services as the city fell into disrepair and he felt fearful that he preyed upon by new citizens of Varrimore. He has since built a space underneath his house to allow more discreet building of items but rarely sells items unless someone is specifically directed to his house.
He previously studied in the High Elven cities of Tilabilia as a bladesinger. He travelled much of Faerun, collecting rare alchemical ingredients that he found intriguing. In the midst of tracking a purple worm, Malartis stumbled into the home of the Klinhammer Clan while it was being ravaged by said purple worm and assisted the escaping dwarves but was gravely poisoned. Deciding to return home after he recovered, Malartis had a desire to leave his home continent and island hopped across the Great Maw, ultimately reaching Varrimore, where he built his home.
