Empress [皇后] Aka [赤] Juhi [樹皮] (a.k.a. The Redwood Empress)
A young woman of poised disposition and strong will. The leader who rose to the position of Empress after The Kaguyan Civil War, Aka Juhi is the daughter of rebel leaders who deposed the warlords in the West who wished to only continue violence, and lost their lives in the ensuing battle. After attending rigorous training and education she was made the official empress at the age of 16, and got to work immediately to quell the fires of rebellion and insurgency within West Kaguya. While she and the mindset of many of her people is still focused on traditionalism, and focusing on Kaguya's own history and development, she also recognizes the need for outer connection, and has built connections to the other countries of Edda while still keeping their innovations and markets out of West Kaguya.
Many people view her as a strong and shrewd pillar of sense for people in Kaguya, if not a bit impersonal.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Aka Juhi keeps her body toned and trained, although her frame doesn't have as much pure muscle mass as other fighters of her level, as she mostly relies on dexterous movements and focused attacks rather than sheer strength.
Body Features
As a Tiefling, Aka Juhi has a few Infernal traits. Specifically, she has two small yet pointed horns on her forehead, and a thin, spaded tail.

Personal history
Aka Juhi never asked to be Empress. In fact, if it wasn't for the Civil War, the thought would probably have never crossed her mind.
She was born in a family most known for being Lumber Workers, and would have spent her life doing much of the same, perhaps marrying a fine maiden somewhere in a small town and living happily, but certainly not extravagantly.
But when warmongers decided to strike the iron and burn the country to the ground for profits after they saw how profitable a war was, her life was changed from that point on.
The Juhi's had become rebel leaders, dedicated to tearing down the institution that seeked to propel the war further, and on a fateful day they were successful, at the cost of their own lives, and the lives of the ruling family of the East faction, who had joined their side.
As such, when peace came, their daughter was seen as the one who would succeed them, especially as the Eastern royals daughter was titled the star of hope for their nation.
Aka was only 4 at the time, but threw herself into studying and preparing, wishing to make a country that her parents would be proud have. Four years later she began attending the North Star Monastery, an impartial institute for politics and martial arts. At the age of 12 is when she first met her direct political peer, Empress Ha-Ouka Hanabira ~花びら 刃-桜花 皇后~, and despite the disconnected history, the two got on famously.
As Aka ascended to the throne while Ha-Ouka was still learning, she gave the young empress-to-be a goal to reach, but focused on her plethora of reforms and rules to instate first.
Now, 17 years after the fact, the countries are at a peace with each other, despite the philosophical differences that keep them apart, and a large majority of that is due to the efforts of Aka Juhi, who wishes to live to see the day when the countries could unify once more, albeit under her ideals.

Aka Juhi isn't as outwardly open about it as her direct contemporary, but she is out as a Lesbian, but also as Asexual to boot.
Education
In her studies, even before the Monastery, Aka Juhi dedicated herself to being the best. She felt she had to prove herself as superior to her competition to please her supporters.
Employment
Even as the Empress, Aka typically gets herself involved in community projects as a worker or director, giving her small bits of experience in many fields. Strangely, she is quite talented at architecture, but found dancing to be her worst skill.
Intellectual Characteristics
Aka keeps things to the point, never staying on a topic longer than she needs to, and not mincing words for the sake of softening a message.
Morality & Philosophy
Aka believes in the necessity of Tradition, holding the ideals of those that came before in a strong light, perhaps changing to fit more modern thoughts of acceptance, but staying true to the message and core of the thought. Most important of these traditional ideals is keeping the image of the pristine Kaguyan, and not letting it be morphed by the world outside the mountains.
