The Silk Towers
Within the alleys of The Flower District, if one is in need of company, they might find themselves at a tall building, standing above the rest yet still not drawing ones eye until they are already at it's doorstep, the inviting doorway to The Silk Towers. Owned by the elegant and gentle Madam Hypnos, The Silk Towers is an establishment that offers companionship of all kinds, whether that be companionship of the emotions, services, friendship, or the body. All are welcome, provided they can pay.
Purpose / Function
The Silk Tower seeks to provide comfort and release from the burdens of living in all their enigmatic forms. On their payroll are professionals ranging from therapists, chiropractors, masseurs, those skilled in platonic companionship, and sex workers, and more.
Design
The Silk Towers rooms are all circular in shape, or leading to the main circular lobbies, and decorated with silk tapestries and curtains, with soft arcane sconces to avoid the danger of flames. The exact decoration of the rooms are dependent on the purpose of the worker inside them, but generally they comprise of soft seating pillows or futon mattresses.
Entries
The only known way in and out of The Silk Towers is through the main double-doors.
Sensory & Appearance
There is always fine incense burning at The Silk Towers, wafting through the air to give it a mysterious scent, but one that never sticks once one leaves. The inside of the tower is also easy on the eyes, kept dimly lit with dark walls.
Architecture
The Tower is made of strange dark-blue stone on the outside, and on the inside it's decorated with tall, spiraling pillars, decorated with drapes and curtains of dark hues. It stands out from the smaller, square buildings surrounding it.
History
No one knows exactly when The Silk Towers arrived in Paris, but it feels like it's been around for the longest time. it's never come under great threat or attention, outside of puritans and "honorable folk" (read: prudes) who find it amoral.
