Overview: Around the middle of the second age in 2023 AB, this holy order of Knights led a group of faithful and Clergy out from Ciudal Sahn, the Capital City of Hepulchor, on a mission from Amaro - God of Light, to make a new settlement in His name. They travelled west, stopping at the Mendi Tontorra mountains, and are credited for the establishment of the first hamlet in the area, Fort Almózene, which grew into the current seat of Almozen County. History: At the start of the Second Age, shortly after the country of Hepulchor was founded, groups of pious men started providing regular protection for the clergy and followers of the God of Light in the fledgling city. The church and congregation had been encountering ever increasing pressure from their community to convert their faith to the loving Light of Eilyene after the birth of the New Pantheons several centuries earlier. These devout men didn't galvanize into a Holy Order until the tragic events of a chilly autumn morning in 1018AB. After attending Dawn Worship Services at a small church of Amaro, two families passing through town were surrounded by a group of Zealots preaching of Eilyene's purity. They shook their fists, shouted and pointed at the parishioners accusing them of being under demonic influence and performing evil deeds behind closed doors. From somewhere in the gathering crowd, several stones were hurled at the families, killing three of their children. The Church of Amaro banded together in support of the families, anointing four of their strongest men who pledged to don arms and armor, defending the people and their faith, that innocent blood would never again be shed in Amaro's Light. These four were the founding members of The Order of the Knights of Amaro. Leadership: tbd Current Events: An official gathering of The Knights of Amaro will be taking place soon.
