Desolation Ox

The Desolation Ox is a beast of burden used and domesticated by the Osman  of Mitari. The Ox is the primary method the Tribes use to move their caravan towns. The Desolation Ox ranges from large to occasionally huge. The Desolation Ox is believed to be the mutation or evolution of the common bovine or ox and, further, it is theorized that they originated from the area that became Desolation. The Desolation Ox thrives in the area of constant chaos or warp and has fully adapted to the point that taking them from the area seems to have negative health effects and dramatically shorten their lifespan. They graze on the various mutated flora and fauna found throughout the Desolation and show no ill effects like the typical humanoid. The Desolation Ox has a large set of spiral horns, thick woolly hair, incredible endurance, and pulling strength.
One of the biggest reasons the Osman use the Desolation Ox is its innate ability to calm the chaos or warp of the desolation. Whole chaos or warp storms have disappeared when as they go over a herd of Desolation Oxen. The chaotic energy prevalent in the Desolation is absorbed and stored in the horns of the Ox. This energy can be used by the Ox, if threatened, to defend itself or the tribe if trained well. The energy is eventually excreted and passed into the waste of the animal. The Osman  artificers use this to power their forges and some of the different unique technologies the tribes have made to live in such a harsh environment.
