Aurala Amaranthine Ar'Wynarn is the queen of Aundair, The Crystalline Haven and the fifth monarch of the nation. She is the adoptive daughter of Barvette Ar'Wynarn. Aurala hopes to reclaim the former glory of Galifar, with Aundair at the helm, and her upon the throne.
She has ruled Aundair since 980 YK and is one of the many national leaders who drafted and signed the Treaty of Thronehold. She is married to Killian d'Lyrandar, who gave up his house to join the Aundairian Royal Family, though while Killian's skills and intellect are very beneficial to the nation, this leads many to accuse of Aurala of favoring House Lyrandar, especially since their ancestral home is located in the Aundairian city of Stormhome. In actuality Aurala goes far out of her way to ensure that House Lyrandar gains no additional benefits, at least none that she would not provide to the other houses. In addition to her spouse, she has two children, and the extended royal family also consists of her 4 siblings.
Aurala is a well renowned diplomat, known for her graceful, charismatic demeanor and her serpentine cunning. She is beyond adept at all games of intrigue payed at court. Unlike previous monarchs Aurala is known for splitting the power of the throne to other notables, despite this she still manages to assert a intimidating authority over her realm at a moments notice. Her silver tongue and charismatic presence allow her to even convince her most determined detractors with ease.
Alongside her previous explained qualities, she wields an Archmage level talent over magic at an extraordinarily young age, finding herself among the five legends of Khorvarie, and unlike most among those ranks, she stands before all...in the flesh. This alongside her very prosperous reign, allows her to have vast ambitions, despite having lost nearly a fifth of her citizens to the newly created Eldeen Reaches.
