King Stallo Matyus

King Stallo Matyus was king of Jeltir from his coronation in 887 until his death in 910. He was son of King Himnerith and Queen Philomela Matyus; husband of Turi Sinwyn; and father of Queen Pearl Fairfell, Prince Hyero, and Princess Timandra. He was known as an eccentric and had a strong affinity for elf culture.
Stallo was not the crown prince until two years before his father's death, when Himnerith's eldest son, Arden, became ill suddenly and died in less than a day. Stallo faced some controversy in his first years as king, and indeed contention, as his half-brother Prince Roze challenged him for the throne, spurring a rebellion in Alustria. Roze was eventually killed in a duel with Stallo's paternal uncle, Prince Feletheus, but doubts and troubles over the legitimacy of Stallo's rule lingered for its duration.
