King Himnerith Matyus

King Himnerith Matyus was king of Jeltir from his coronation in 859 until his death in 887. He was son of King Bertrannus and Queen Kemma Matyus, and married thrice: Lady Thebe Regnault of Wellford in 837; Lady Philomela Arvunck of Hemejdd in 857; and Metylda of Renda in 875, seven months following the death of Philomela. He was father of Princess Himina, Princess Tanith, Prince Arden, King Stallo, Princess Elga, Princess Orla, Prince Roze, Princess Bria, and Prince Agamnis Matyus. He had one sibling, his younger brother Prince Feletheus.   Despite some controversy surrounding his relationships with his wives, Himnerith was almost universally considered a good man and a great king. A large part of his rule took place during a time of turbulence and he was beloved and respected by people of all social classes and races. His legacy includes the quelling of rebellion in Adaru following the Great Scruples, the commissioning of Sir Edmund Paltiria to slay the red dragon Ravathrax the Carmine, and the establishment of the tiefling sanctuary Zejeris.
