La is the goddess of prophecy. She was always an enigmatic figure, and it is said that even as the Meydra slept in Mejddimlad, La was dreaming of the future. She spent much of the Age of the Meydra in isolation in the mountains of what is now Vundkrag, and is said to have crafted a powerful staff from a silver ore deposit and sapphire deposit she found deep in the mountains, which she could use to channel her visions when she was in contact with it. Using this as a focus, she meditated for years. During this time a snowy owl whom she called Raimer came across her and became very attached to her. She enjoyed his company and frequently communicated telepathically with him. After some time, she allowed herself to return to the Valley of the Meydra, but would never share the content of her visions with anyone. La is portrayed as a moon elf wearing a long teal gown and holding the Staff of La, usually in the company of Raimer.
While very little is known of La's activities during the Age of the Meydra, a few extraordinary events since then have been attributed to her influence. Many prophets have reported hearing indistinct whispers of a feminine voice or seeing flashes of white as they enter or exit their visions, and many believe that all prophecies are La's doing or are at least filtered through her.
Relationships
La had one child, Imennis, with Madjei, making her the last Meydra to be born, with the extraordinary exception of Kallistos. Nothing is known of her relationship with Madjei, and it is widely speculated that there was not much of one. She was in any case a dutiful mother, and raised her daughter well.
Followers
Followers and clerics of La are proponents of strict discipline and meditation, and many of her clerics have the gift of prophecy.
