Suvrik

"Name me anyone in history, whether Meydra or powerful entity or common man, who has done more to establish and encourage social cooperation, practicality, and critical thinking in the name of the common good."

Suvrik is the god of trade and commerce. He was always one of the more thoughtful, practical Meydra, usually quietly observing and remaining emotionally detached. According to the stories, he was journeying alone when he came across a tribe of humans who lived in the plains, rife with game but lacking in lumber, ore, or any other building materials. Not long after, Suvrik came to a small copse of trees hiding an iron mine and a dwarf colony, where their homes were strong but they were starving. Finding this lack of balance ridiculous, Suvrik selected representatives from the humans and dwarves and organized a system of trade—thus inventing the concept of trade itself. He is thus usually depicted with both arms out, one arm draped in animal pelts and the opposite hand holding a chunk of iron ore, frequently appearing as a dwarf.

Relationships

Suvrik's wife was Brell, and their children Tirinasi and Uskad. He was a mentor to Noveakrin, who invented the concept of currency following Suvrik's example.

Followers

Suvrik has a great following among traders and merchants, and is sometimes prayed to by those who wish for success in the area of trade and commerce, for themselves or others, even if it is not their occupation. Most of his clerics reside in areas where merchants and traders are common.
