Uapri
"Leave me to what is green and growing. If you wish, you can find me there."Uapri
Uapri, known to druids as Arvorus, is the god of plants and nature. He never cared much for the companionship of other sentient races, even the other Meydra, much preferring to isolate himself deep in the mountains or the forests and commune with nature and its inherent magics. To this day different sects among his followers characterize his relationship with nature in different ways—some say he felt a deep love for it, others say it was a practical sense of obligation, and still others assert it was more a scholarly fascination. In any case, Uapri dedicated himself to protecting and preserving the plants and animals of Ekaia, predicting the slow destruction of nature at the hands of humanoid races—for whom he felt no strong animosity, but of whom he was not entirely trustful. He lived in the wilderness for untold stretches of time, helping its creatures and plants survive and thrive in whatever way he could. He is theorized by some to have been the creator of the Feywild. He frowned upon the practice of hunting among humanoid races, believing that none among them apart from his father were pure of heart, but was not inherently against it as long as the remains were respected and used well, as he recognized that humanoids were still to be counted as part of the natural world. Still, he designated a few sacred spaces which he warned were not to be disturbed by intelligent races, most notably his Forest of Life which still exists in southern Vundkrag, and some of these spaces are still protected by his clerics, while the locations of others are unknown. He is portrayed as a man with long fey ears, pale green skin, and long matted brown hair, with grass growing amid his hair and patches of moss across his body, frequently holding a gnarled staff.
Relationships
Uapri was the only son of Tvorec and Hanetch. It is uncertain whether he had any children of his own; if he did, the mother or mothers were likely fey.
Followers
Most of Uapri's followers are nomads and hermits. Some have temples, usually in remote forests. The Methyrian Temple of Uapri, located in the forest of Beleryn in Thessélias, is the largest and oldest known example, though it was abandoned for over a thousand years.
