HB Session 5: Where Everybody Knows Your Bugbear
General Summary
Month 3, Week 2 - Month 4, Week 1, Year 924
The Holy Boaters finished up their raid on the Parmesan, collecting all the treasure aboard and stripping the boat of any identifying features to slow down its processing at any Sardivelian harbor. Cpt. Donatella and First Mate Coursing Rivers were spared by the party, but not before Sarek went belowdeck impersonating the captain and sowing discord amongst the crew. The rest of the Boaters divvied up their magic items, Cpt. Dolooloobogg storing the mask and its strange container in his quarters to keep it far removed from the rest of the crew. Sailing back to Nekutalin took three weeks, giving the Boaters plenty of time to rest and recuperate after several difficult days of fighting at sea. Clover spent plenty of time peppering the seaman Marco with questions, and Yel'ah inspected his newly magical war pick to try and understand it better. After a week or two the Boaters ran into the Alpha, the vessel currently run by Dolooloobogg's old captain Argus. Muireann kept her distance from the bugbear (Shazir failing to comfort her), and Clover sneaked aboard to inspect the ship and all its magical mysteries. Argus appeared in good spirits, a little more silver in his fur but happy to be at sea planning pirate raids instead of wherever he'd spent the early 920's. Parting ways after sharing some intel, the Boaters made it to the pirate haven of Nekutalin in good time. The Holy Boater would need to be docked and repaired for a full month, giving the party plenty of downtime to relax and explore the city. Shazir and Noodles visited a local bookstore in a quieter part of town, the yuan-ti picking up a book on how to woo women since he wasn't getting anywhere with Muireann. Clover visited a local Handgun site to try and obtain a couple more magic items, and Muireann started work on the creation of a boat all her own. Eventually the Boaters would have to decide on a new expedition, but for the time being they enjoyed the comforts of the city and the BBQ at Takagi's tavern.
