House Swiftcurrent, Castellans of the River Rushing

The river otters of Swiftcurrent are the custodians of trade along the River Rushing the main river artery of the Tangled Jungle. This 3000 mile long river and the basin containing its tributaries and distributaries comprises the trade network of Sunspear territory. Their lands comprise both banks of the river from its source to the sea. Their seat of power is mobile, a collection of river barges used to navigate the waterway, collect taxes, and ensure compliance with fishing and trade laws. The family's main barge is known as the Rainrider, and although it is also mobile, it tends to remain docked at a central location on the river where other barges can converge.
