Orin

The title "Orin", or "The Orin", is one granted to very few individuals. It is commonly synonymously associated with the title "prince" or "princess". It is a title denoting leadership in teh Fae court. Like Titania and Oberon, the title is gender neutral. Like Titania, the title is inheritable by the offspring of Titania if they are proven worthy to succeed Titania. If the offspring is not suited to be Orin, the title can be granted to a successor chosen by the people.

Qualifications

The qualifications for Orin are the same as for Titania; Demonstrating leadership, cool headed ness, ability to make decisions without bias, and the ability to make decisions reflecting the will of the people.

Requirements

Orin must be at least fourteen years of age.

Appointment

In the case of Titania bearing only one child, Orin is automatically inherited, but the title is not granted until their fourteenth birthday. If Titania bears multiple children, the title will not be granted until the youngest's fourteenth birthday (unless there is a significant age gap) to the one who demonstrates the desired qualities most. The title cannot be revoked for a younger child unless the Orin is significantly underqualified.

Duties

Titania's offspring are all raised for the role of Orin. Their formative years are spent learning the duties of Titania and given exercises to assess their capabilities and proclivities. Once the title is bestowed, Orin will be responsible for attending meetings with Titania and handling smaller matters as hands on training.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include attending lessons, completing practical exercises, attending Titania, and executing Titania's duties in smaller matters.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Orin can be dismissed at any time after acquiring the title by demonstrating a lack of qualities to ascend as Titania.

The people grant the title its power. An incompetent Orion is able to be denied ascension by the will of the people and invoke a vote to find a suitable one.
