Gifted Temple Priest
The Transition from being a Templed Priest to a Gifted Temple Priest is a significant one. A Gifted Temple Priest is elected from a pool of their peers, and approved by the Holy Gifted High Priest. When a vacancy is created, all Temple Priests under the seat of that Gifted Temple Priest gather on the next Brightsday and vote. Temple Priests who do not make it lose their opportunity to vote. The Holy Gifted High Priest will either approve or deny the vote by the following Annulet Moon. It is rare that a vote is denied. A Gifted Temple Priest vacancy only occurs if The Holy Gifted High Priest asks them to step down, or if they forfeit their position to retirement out of Temple. Once you are a Gifted Temple Priest, you are no longer allowed to hold smaller Temples, though you can step down into just Priesthood. Many Gifted Temple Priests step down to become Librarians or tutors for young Seminarians. Many Gifted Temple Priests die in their seats.
