Shopping in Confluence, with Friends new and Old

Diplomatic action

The LightBringers and Amdrom Silverpalm, Boulderfoot head out in the morning. They visit a small store called The Spectacular Eye, run by a Gnome called Roge.

After some negotiation he agrees to buy some of the precious stones the group has, as well as take on Amdrom as an assistant/apprentice.

The group then moves to Fendetraves Arcanum where they meet first Olivia Longriver then Gelatra Fendetrave and enquire about the purchase of some magical items. They also discuss a book they had found in the chest they recovered from Aldrich. Gelatra says she will look into what the Academy of Arcane Arts and Letters might give them information about the fate of the books owner, and, perhaps, for the book itself. They buy some healing potions before leaving.

The group then heads to the bank to cash a promisory note from Roge. While in The Crown, they visit the Guard Headquarters where Officer Whiling eventually agrees to shown them to Captain Ella Figgis after reading the letter they got from the Tax Collector they assisted in Whisperfield. The Captain agrees to give them entry to the Elector's Library for a day, she will forward a letter that they are to be granted entry tomorrow. She also listens as they describe various possible murders and dealings they have had with criminal organisations in the nearly two days they have been in town.

While in The Crown Dharra Boulderfoot notices a group of Dwarves. One of whome enters the temple of Kord. She speaks to one of the others, a sort of guard who doesn't say a lot, but says they had a rought trip from the Earthspine Mountains. He seems interested in Dharra being a bard and asks where they are staying.

They then head out to a tavern called Moradin's Beard. There they see a raucous Dwarven band play and sample a couple of drinks. They encounter Datevar Beerbringer again. He slips Arkomir Phinan a key to room 6 and suggests there is someone there who wishes to see him.

Arkomir goes to the room and knocks, then enters. There he finds Katya Shadowash who has been in hiding here and hoping to be able to find Arkomir. She tells him she is on the run from Mol Gentra as Pharom Gentris didn't die in the battle against the goblins some time ago, despite her encouraging that outcome. He now blames Katya and Arkomir for his near death. She is pleased Arkomir still has her bow and says she had watched him after they parted for a while, in the hopes of keeping him safe. She says there is a faction of which Pharom is a member that believes in the superiority of Elves and that they should rule all Khurabil. Arkomir leaves.
