Dharra and Arkomir talk to Essa about the spring around which Oxenhalt was founded. They end up returning to the basement of the temple and finding it at the base of the pool, and a cistern linked to the pool behind the back wall. They create a magic raft and explore the cistern a little, it runs under much of the village and is accessed by wells.

They then go and visit Jana Brindle and arrange to have the bear skin cured and treated. They also arrange to buy some wolf skin cloaks with custom embroidery.

Jana tells them of a local hunter that has gone missing. They head into the woods to look for him. After a few hours they are attacked by Gnolls. Eventually finishing them off they find the hunter, Tommy, hung up and being drained for blood in what appears to be an ancient Elven meeting chamber.

The group returns to Oxenhalt and checks Tommy into the Inn. Essa turns up later, and Jana has a drink or two with them.
