Bahamadi

Bahamadi is the native language spoken by those of the Bahami Federation. Believed to be a combination of Elder Common and an unknown language, it also has borrowed quite a few words from Chatsprach as the number of catfolk in the emirates continues to grow. During the brief time in which the Jakonian Empire ruled over the Bahami Islands, the Common tongue was enforced upon the islands. When the Empire's rule fell, Bahamadi experienced a resurgence and it is the predominant language throughout the isles. Captains of trading ships in Jakonia and Columba have taken to learning Bahamadi, as it helps to understand the corsairs when they demand your money or your life.
