Common
Common, or Jakonian, is well known as the primary language of Emicara. Thanks to the rapid expansion and pursuant decline of the Jakonian Empire, the common tongue has spread throughout the entire region. Even within Populres and the reclusive Shin Empire, it is commonly spoken as a language of trade and commerce. While in some isolated areas, inhabitants of remote tribes and villages in some kingdoms fail to speak it, usually at least one translator can be found, usually at steep prices. In most of the nations of the Circle Sea, Common is the only language with the exception of some very minor differences in ethnic dialects.
