Bamardi Home Army

The Bamardi Home Army is the standing army of the Kingdom of Bamard. Most of the members of the military are volunteers from across the nation, looking to either serve or gain fame and recognition from their membership in the armed forces. A handful consist of convicts and prisoners who are offered the chance for freedom in penal battalions, but this typically only takes place during wartime. The Home Army both acts as the expeditionary forces of the kingdom, but also its government, controlling the towns and cities of Bamard, while enforcing national law.

Structure

The Bamardi Home Army retains a very tight organizational structure, organized in a similar fashion to the Jakonian Imperial Army. The lowest workings of the army are the regiments and the commanders of these units. Regiments are organized into brigades, which are organized into divisions. These divisions are manned by generals, who each sit upon the Council of Bamardi Generals. This is not merely the legislature of the Kingdom of Bamard, but is also the command structure of the entire military. They determine promotions, military deployments, and overall structure of the armed forces. The head is the Commander who oversees all operations and is the head of government of the kingdom.

Assets

The Home Army possesses fifty armed regiments scattered across the whole of the Kingdom of Bamard. This does not include the more civilian regiments in charge of infrastructure, and elements of local bureaucracy and administration. It is often said that the wealth of the kingdom is the wealth of the army, and this is inherently true, as the Home Army manages the coffers of the nation for both military purposes and civilian ones. They also maintain scattered castles and forts throughout the kingdom, protecting the borders from raids and invasions.
