House Vassos
House Vassos is the ruling family of the town of Teva and surrounding lands in the Kingdom of Alsona. They are best known as those who supply provisions to caravans and traders seeking a route down the Long Road to the Kingdom of Recfrere. Vassos is therefore the first to grab any supplies coming from the east, and those purchased from dwarven strongholds along the Long Road. They are predominantly known for their loyalty to the Alsonan crown, although this has been challenged by younger members of the house and Teva itself.
Public Agenda
Currently House Vassos supports the crown's measures to restrict dwarven immigration and to turn back refugees from the Apps Mountains. They have also called for more military patrols along the Alsonan portion of the Long Road between Teva and Reva to help protect local commerce. Lastly, they advocate for the creation of stronger defenses, appealing for the Alsonan monarchs to become involved in determining the root cause of the collapse of so many dwarven strongholds, as there is always a risk such an event could happen in Teva.
Assets
The wealth of House Vassos has declined in recent years as the Long Road becomes more and more hazardous. There is still a good amount of trade between Teva and Reva, some of which includes smuggled goods from the Shin Empire. These goods often find their way into the treasury of House Vassos, allowing them to pay in relics and technology otherwise unobtainable through legal means from the Shin. The house still has ample money to finance their contributions to the welfare of Teva, and fund their own guards and security. It was a matter of great relief when the right to raise levies was stripped from the lords during the Wingo War, helping to stretch the declining Vassos wealth further.
