Rena Vassos, formerly Alanili, is the wife of Lord Serafeim Vassos, ruler of the town of Teva in the Kingdom of Alsona. She was born to a family of artisan jewelers in Teva, and was given a fairly comfortably middle class life. Although her family was far from wealthy, they lavished upon her the education she would need to thrive and survive among the upper classes. This included an education at the University of Pegrama, where she was educated in statecraft and history. During her time in the university is when she met Serafeim, who was a recent widower offering an endowment.
Despite only being eighteen years old to his fifty-three, the two fell in love and soon became married. Shortly after their first child was born, and she began settling into her role as the first lady of Teva. Despite being resented by Serafeim's older children, she has fallen into a contented position in the court of Teva, and spent ample time doting upon her children and enjoying the luxuries her husband has provided her. She has spent plenty of influence on aiding her parents' business, although with their failing health, it seems likely that the jeweler will shut down.
