Blood Wings
The Blood Wings are a crew of vampire pirates that primarily sail during the night and the northern oceans of Encopia where the days are shorter. Their ships have large awnings covering their top deck to shield them from the sun should they ever need to crew them during the day.
There are stories and rumors that they would kidnap people during their raids to use as livestock to feed their need for blood on the open waters.
There is no certainty if the Blood Wings were pirates that became vampires or vampires who became pirates, but the legend of their ruthless Captain Mabel 'Cutmore' Mar has spanned generations.
Some time ago, The Plank King identified their unique value of navigating waters most mortals could not and offered them a seat on the Council of Captains.
