Hidari-e Shogun '左衛将軍'

The title is given to the firstborn son of the Sei Taishogun.

Of equal rank but opposite gender is the Migi-e Shogun. Other siblings are referred to as Ouji or Oujou. His non-ruling parent is the Midaidokoro.

The elligibility to the title of Shogun can be tested at any time of his life, but it is usually done before he reaches adulthood.
