Quinn/Ankhthelia Session Report #9

General Summary
Mycia 22nd, 37 A.C.
After being sent over to the hospital to meet with Clover by Sigmund Howell, we were given a strange paper with a rune on it. We discovered some spell paper with a strange mark on it. It resembles a circle with two downwards facing angles, and an ambersand sign within it. We know it has some sort of correlation with criminal activity, but we're not sure as to how. It resembles the sigil for Eldritch Blast; good thing we have Azotharant Craft with us.
After we reported back to Sigmund Howell, we warned us that "The group targets gullible people about freedom."
Once we left Sigmund Howell's office, I informed the party of my investigation earlier that day. I had snuck into and investigated Ian Griswold's old house, and found nothing. In addition, I had convinced some guards that watch over the tunnel to Opus to allow me into the tunnel briefly, where I sniffed around as a dire wolf thanks to my druidic ability. That investigation also revealed mixed results, but at least nothing is an indication of something. We briefly checked the tunnel, and were chased out by beasts.
Mycia 23rd
After talking briefly with Sigmund Howell about our investigation, we talk to Raylin Trowven, who thankfully gave us party-wide authorization into the Opus tunnel. In addition, they gave us a part of a sending stone so we could communicate with her if need be. On our way to the tunnels we were approached by Zormus, a blue tiefling who knows Beau of Ironclaw. Apparently Arris, a man Beau of Ironclaw also knows, wanted to speak with him.
At long last, we spoke with Clover who helped us prepare a gift basket for the Firbolg Village town. We finally left via the tunnel, and trekked a long 20 miles underground until we found a passageway that led to the surface. When we finally reached the Firbolg town, we met a kind firbolg named Daisy who helped situate us in huts within their dome-like village.
During the night, I snuck out; I had suspicions of a man we had met in the village named Ezekiel. When I reached his hut, I saw him discussing something with the Raven. They noticed me and I had to quickly flee.
I didn't end up telling the others what I had seen immediately.
Mycia 24th
I must admit, I couldn't hide my unease when we awoke. We promptly left to get to breakfast once I explained what I had done, at which point we were seated around their meal place. We saw Amanda here, but she just ignored us. The suspicious tiefling from last night, Ezekiel, sat with us, and he brought Beau of Ironclaw, Azotharant Craft and myself food. I don't need to eat in my warforged form, but it was such a strange gesture of kindness. It has been... a while since I have been show kindness from a stranger. As we eat, we talk to both Ezekiel and the firbolgs. We learn that the Firbolgs and The Serpents have been working together. Later that day, we met the family of Clover. His father, mother, and sister are named as follows; Snowdrop, Iris, and Jasmine. After some discussion, we agree to bring back a letter from each of them for Clover.
Mycia 25th
On our way out, Daisy gave us each a bundle of herbs. We thankfully returned to Aeris safely, although we ran into a worried Raylin. Apparently she had been trying to contact us yesterday. We then went to Clover to deliver his families letters, and then reported back to Sigmund. Once we had finished our report, Sigmund Howell asked Eldin to stay behind. We left but stayed close by in case he needed our help, and went to Amaranth's room with tea cakes. There we met Trukad and played card games.
The Midnight Knocker strikes again that night, and the rest of our party are none the wiser - even despite all the years, I suppose I shall always be a prankster at heart.
