The Dragons of the North

Piercing blazing eyes sat deep within the creature's scaled, narrow skull, which gave the creature a vicious looking appearance. Two horns sat atop its head, just above its enormous, warped ears. A row of horns ran down the sides of each of its jaw lines. Its nose was large and had two small, curved nostrils and there were small horns on its chin. Several rows of sharp teeth poked out from the side of its mouth and gave a slight hint at the terror hiding inside.
A long neck ran down from its head and into a colossal body. The top was covered in crystal-like scales different from the rest and a row of fan-like growths ran down its spine. Its body was covered in rounded scales and was colored slightly darker than the skin I could see poking through around the eyes. Four huge limbs carried its body and allowed the creature to stand dignified and towering. Each limb had 5 digits, each of which end in long nails seemingly made of obsidian.
Horrendous wings grew starting from its shoulders and ended just past its shoulder blades. The wings were rounded, a specialized layer of seemingly color-changing skin made up most of the wing and jagged edges at the bottom almost give it a feathered look.
Its long tail ended in a gentle point and is covered in the same crystal-like scales as the top of its neck.
At seeing this being I knew I had made a Very Big Mistake.
