Vestonian

Vestonian is a dialect of common which resembles the old language of the Federation very closely. After the fall of the Westreach federation common began to split into various dialects but Vestonian remains largely as it was although do the magical nature of the country many arcane words have circulated into common usage.
A few of the phrases unique to the Vestonian dialect come from idioms related to the money. The Vestonian Star is the main and only currency for the country. These coins are unique in that they can be broken apart into pieces by a command word and magically attached with another. As the coins themselves are simply molded earth they have no value in and of themselves. The mages guild has developed a specialized way of imbuing these pieces of earth with regenerating magic that allows them to mend and break apart eternally or until a mage withdraws the magic within for a spellcasting component.
Arcane spells, the cosmology of the world and celestial bodies feature predominately in the Vestonian dialect.
Naming within Vestonia and the Vestonian dialect is rather different than other parts of Westreach. heredity is not nearly as important within Vestonia as other parts of the world and as such most people do not have a surname. the peasants of the country might take a surname that names their profession such as Baker or Smith but their are no noble families that hold great value in their family history. When one is accepted into the mages college to join the guild they are given a title upon graduation that acts as their second name. These are not necessarily unique names but rather a way to show the specialization of the mage. Some common titles include
Goodsight, Deathdriver, Greyrune, Frostshadow, Starair, Rosegem, Windrose, Spellstorm

While Vestonian can be spoken and understood nearly everywhere in Westreach, it is primarily spoken within the country of Vestonia.
