Jōshū
Jōshū is a region located in the West Auslon. On the northeast side lies the mountain range known as the Shadowwall. To the west and south lies the great sea, the Kaiyō Ocean. The region is characterized by its dry and warm summers, which provide an abundance of vegetation and wildlife, and its cold and wet winters, making it an ideal place for grazing livestock.
The area has long been inhabited by the Jōsō people, a southeast Elven tribe, who established their capital in the city of Jōshu. The Jōsō people were known for their material culture, building large earthworks and designing elegant pottery.
The Jōsō people were eventually displaced by the Tothic peoples during the Second Age, who brought with them their own language and culture. The most important of these Tothic leaders was Arric, the High King of Auslon, who established his own kingdom in the region. Arric’s reign was characterized by progress and stability, and he was responsible for the construction of numerous temples, fortifications and other structures.
The region is also home to a variety of plant and animal species, including the Wesic Wolf and the spotted antelope. The rivers of the region are also home to a variety of fish, reptiles and amphibians, as well as a diverse array of trees and shrubs.
Jōshu is an important cultural and historical region, and was home to many of Auslon’s most important sites, including the Eternal Palace, the Great Temple of the Twins, and the Tia Shrine. The region is also home to several important festivals, including the Festival of the Solstices, the Festival of the Gods, and the Festival of the Harvest.
