The party travel on The Golden Road, staying at different inns. They reach the quarry where they fight a terrifying creature. They end up with evidence that there is a 3rd party who is pitting the two stone mason guilds against each other.
The party travels up to the quarry, somehow evading ALL of the potential difficulties that they could have and magically rolling for "you have a great day!" pretty much every day. Oh well! After an uneventful trip up (minus a brief encounter with a family of owl bears), they reach the quarry. The owner of the quarry tells them that a creature has taken up residence inside the quarry and no one can get inside to get the newest shipment of limestone out. The party speaks with a worker who says that he was attacked by some undead looking wolf thing. The party initially thinks that he is overreacting, but then decide that it is actually even more terrifying than they thought. They fight it and the other ice creatures that are with it, and kill it. They then search the bodies (or where the bodies had exploded for some of them) they discovered wire wrapped gems and a separate magical device that is set up to cause them pain if they leave the proximity of it. With clear evidence of sabotage they return. The return trip is also pretty much boring with no major difficulties. The only real event of note is that Pyren makes friends with a magic user named @Al who talks shop with him for a while and maybe taught him a low level spell (I can't remember). Upon returning home, the party gives their results to Dwarven Stone Guild and they decide that they are going to reach out to Polished Pillars Stoneworkers to see about working together. At the very end, Salvestro was on a walk and he discovered a dead rat laying on the dock. He also realized that there were no other rats around, even though there should have been. He examines the dead rat and finds the A Cult coin shoved in his mouth.
