Archdemon

The archdemons are powerful, unique Fiend. The most powerful archdemons are the rulers of The Hells.

These Fiend are prominent in the infernal hierarchy as a leader of demons. Essentially, the archdemons are the evil opponents of the archangels and Archfey.

Darkvision = range of 60 feet (18 meters) - which allowed them to discern forms, as in normal daylight vision, but only in shades of gray. Their darkvision did not function in darkness that was magical in origin.

Demon's skin = Because of their dark nature they have resistance to necrotic damage.

Archdemon's Mind = They have an advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

Demon's Contracts = As a part of a short or long rest, any demon, but especially archdemon, can create a contract with a willing creature. So long as the contract is not violated, they can communicate telepathically with the willing creature as long as they both remain on the same plane of existence. If the contract is broken, they both suffer disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the end of their next long rest. Demons can only have one contract at a time - while Archdemons can have multiple.

Demon's Wings = they have great, leathery wings that develop later and add to their mobility. Flying speed of 30 feet. To use these wings, they must not be wearing medium or heavy armor, or wielding a metal shield.

Disguise Self = they can hide their true appearance with illusions and spells, as iin their deceptive nature to do so.

Prominent demon lords include:
* Demogorgon = the Prince of Demons - each of Demogorgon's heads had its own name and personality
* Orcus = the Blood Lord - a demon prince - returned from undeath but not technically alive - Orcus seeks to exterminate all life throughout the Moata Solar System and transform each planet into a desolate realm inhabited only by his Undead.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Archdemons and other Fiend live in a hierarchy of sorts - the biggest bully rules.
Other demons in The Hells flock to serve archdemon - some with goals of eventually, they can usurp their master and ascend to the throne of lies the Archdemon rules from. Many of the current Archdemons were but mere shadow demons or quasits, the best at cunning and subterfuge, and managed to strike the killing blow on their old master, leaving them with a title of Archdemon. Others are fallen angels from Celestia.
Though once they get there, they're at the top of the pack. They're so far above every other demon they've ever known, and that isolation might drive them to be paranoid.
