Schtemich
Schtemich is a god associated with mischief, tricks and temptation. In most traditions, Schtemich is a servant - or sometimes familiar - of Nemeon - dispatched to sow chaos among Nemeon's enemies.
Schtemich is an important deity in Gnomish philosophies, where he is credited as the inventor of boredom - which, after all, has led nigh as many mortals to sin as lust, anger or even greed.
Schtemich is sometimes referred to as 'The Imp', 'He That Whispers' or 'The Jester'.
Divine Domains
Schtemich's primary domains are Air, Charm, Liberation and Trickery. His subdomains are Deception, Revolution, Thievery and Wind.
Holy Books & Codes
Schtemich has no holy book, however a poem called the Imp's Riddle is traditionally exchanged in his honour. Its contents always vary, but the answer is always 'chaos'.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Schtemich is traditionally depicted as red or black imp, typically whispering into the ears of kings, queens and heroes, attempting to lead them astray. He is associated with clowns and jesters, and his sacred animal is the monkey. His favoured weapon is the dagger.
Schtemich's mystic card is The Fool, and his holy number is zero, or sometimes 22.
Tenets of Faith
Followers of Schtemich delight in pranks and anarchy, finding particular delight in watching traditional institutions unravel and fail. To this end, undermining such establishments is a duty.
Schtemich's faithful typically worship Nemeon as well, but pour their focus into tormenting his enemies - particularly Tane and his followers.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Schtemich serves Nemeon's interests. Like his master, he possesses a fervent hatred of the righteous deities and those that embody their virtues. Goodness, honour and nobility are a sham, requiring exposure and ironic punishment.
