Frio (free-oh)
King Frio/Faius/Ernir (a.k.a. King of the Forge)
Frio, called Faius by the Yiru, Ernir by the Dragons and Othar by the Naria, is a god in the Areic Pantheon and the god of fire, the sun and creation. Frio is often invoked when a person is smithing or when they want to start a fire. He was the El Isra who decided to create Eir, and as such is venerated as the creator god and the father of all mortals. He is said to be married to Oria in most traditions and is always the father of Arella.
Frio helped create the Fire Ruby, the magical artifact of the fire riders. Frio is the patriarch of all the mortal pantheons and as such most cultures seem to include his realm in their afterlife somehow. The Light Elves and Naria most prominently state that they will go to the Fire Forge when they pass to the afterlife, though some Light Elves claim to go to Eal's realm.
In Perite and Grina, Frio is called Othar, the god of smithing and creation. Frio is was not the patriarch of the original Naria pantheon but has taken on that role as the years progressed. He is said to have gifted the Naria people with the knowledge of weapons and armour-smithing. In the fourth era, as the Elven Pantheon gains supremacy, the people of these provinces have taken to calling Othar by the name Frio. In this pantheon, Oria is Frio's wife and he is also the father of Tessyn, goddess of volcanos.
In Rosil, Frio known as Faius. He was Lorh and Simar's second child and they gifted him the ability to create new realms. As they are not very fire centred people, they generally only worshipped him for his creation and sun aspects. He isn't the patriarch of the Yiru Pantheon and isn't seen as very important by most people. In most legends from this tradition, Frio has no designated wife. He is also the father of the goddess of Sunwell, Mustos.
The Dragon version of Frio is called Ernir, meaning flame, he is the patriarch of the fire dragons. As stated above, Ernir created the Fire Ruby as a gift for the rulers of the fire dragon riders. He is said to have blessed the stone, giving the wearer the ability to control fire. Frio is married to Datix- the goddess of children- in this tradition.
