The Dream

The Dream is the Dimensional Plane which parallels The Nightmare. Located on the edge of The Heavens, the dream is ruled over by Turiel the Prince of Dreams and brother of Orias. When mortals sleep and begin to dream, they will frequently find themselves here to explore visions of their hopes, or to escape reality as they know it.

Geography

The Dream is an infinitely flowing and always calm sea. The sea is a bright blue, and seemingly glows with energy. In the skies above, are colossal clouds, which hold the palace of Turiel and his Dream Weavers.

Ecosystem

The sea of the Dream is full of life, rare fish and aquatic mammals like Dolphins and Whales make their home here. There are also the Dream Weavers, who are Triton like celestials who find wandering sleeping souls to craft dreams for.

Localized Phenomena

When a sleeping soul is found by a dream weaver, usually unconscious lying atop of the sea, they create a bubble for the soul to stay within and send them beneath the waves. Down there they begin to experience a dream which forms around them. Anyone who swims into the bubble can invade the dream, but they will experience that dream as reality.

Fauna & Flora

Many aquatic animals from the material realm exist here, but they are blessed by the divine magic of the ruling god. They live long lives and never get sick.

Natural Resources

The Seawater of the Dream is a highly sought out and rare resource. The water has the ability to make someone feel fully rested after drinking it. This comes with no drawbacks, so it is not comparable to things like Coffee.

History

The dream was crafted by Turiel and his brother, to allow mortals to escape to a place in their sleep where they can experience their hopes and desires. However, after the two brothers argued over who should be the ruler of the plane, and the disagreements over what the sleeping realm should be used for, Orias left to create The Nightmare, leaving Turiel as the sole ruler of the Dream. After the closing of the Divine Gates, the Dream has only been accessible to the sleeping minds of mortals.
