Jade Telavia
Jade Telavia is an elven Artificer, an engineer on the Olane Project, and a member of the Telavia family. She is the ex-girlfriend of Tungsten.
History
Early Life
Jade had a somewhat normal noble upbringing until her primary schooling, where she learned about Hadrya and their MagiTech. The subject fascinated her, and she took to inventing gadgets and magical items as much as she could. Despite desperate influence from both her mother and aunt, Jade kept on this trajectory, and eventually endeavored to become a full-fledged artificer. Prior to this, she showed an aptitude for magic, but put it aside to focus on tech, much to her aunt and mothers' dismay. When she was younger, her mother attempted to keep her from playing with tech, but her sister Selena would sneak in components for her to tinker with.Hadrya University
Eventually, Jade would set out on her own, determined to make her way in the world as an artificer regardless of her family's thoughts. She applied for and was accepted to Hadrya University, where she would study for several years learning the ins and outs of engineering. During this time she met Tungsten Wrath-of-Gypsum Mind-of-Shale, and quickly developed a friendship that turned into a romantic relationship. However, this would not last, and the two parted ways shortly before graduation.The Olane Project
Immediately out of school, Jade applied to and was accepted onto the Olane Project under the artificer Andryse Yanny, coincidentally alongside Tungsten. Unlike Tungsten, however, Jade was actually used as an apprentice on the project instead of an errand girl, and proved to be a vital asset to the team. She does the bulk of the grunt engineering work on the project, and is currently developing a form of global positioning tracking to keep track of Team B in case they ever get into trouble and need immediate help.Personality
Jade is a warm, loving, and understanding young artificer with an affinity for technology. She seldom gets angry, and holds her friends in very high regard. She enjoys being blunt as a rock, often taking others off guard with her honest comments. If there is an elephant in the room, Jade will pull on its trunk.Relationships
Tungsten
Ever since meeting in school, Jade and Tungsten have had a very close relationship. There is obvious romantic and sexual tension between the two, and Jade often flusters Tungsten by calling it out to mess with her. The two dated for a time in college, but broke up due to unresolved insecurites and have been dancing around each other ever since. Despite their best efforts, they can't seem to avoid each other, and even though they both know the feelings they harbor for each other, neither has figured out the formula for them to be together.Malavia Telavia
Jade does not have a close relationship with her mother, and the two do not speak often. Jade's chosen profession is resented by Malavia, and neither has so far made any attempts to repair the relationship.Selena Telavia
As sisters, Jade and Selena share a sibling bond and Jade fills the little sister roll in that relationship perfectly. She will often tease and joke with her sister, and growing up Selena was the only one to support her interest in technology.Andryse Yanny
As a boss, Andryse is not very attentive and can be quite dismissive of Jade's suggestions. Eventually, Jade more or less began to ignore Andryse's commands, and can only casually be referred to as her apprentice.
