One of the Great Clans of The Dragonlands, Clan Emberclaw are hard workers and who believe in dedication to your craft. They were one of the first Clans to use the Underground Lava Lakes to inform their Smithing and Crafting and have passed down the knowledge of working these forges through the generations.

Their public agenda is focused on continuing the production of high-quality weapons and armour, and they often push for policies that favour the expansion of mines and smithing operations in the region.
They are advocates of strong internal defence, believing that a well-armed and well-trained populace is key to the security of the Dragonlands. While they do not overtly seek war, they believe in being perpetually prepared for conflict. To this end, they sponsor numerous combat training programs within Rokthorl, ensuring that their weapons are wielded by capable hands.

History

Clan Emberclaw’s history is one of survival, growth, and innovation. Founded centuries ago by Ignathar Emberclaw, a master blacksmith who sought to tame the wilds of Rokthorl, the clan began as a small group of smiths who harnessed the heat of the region’s underground lava lakes to create superior weapons and tools. Over time, their skill and craftsmanship earned them recognition, and they became one of the primary suppliers of arms to the Dragonborn armies during various conflicts, including the First War of the Sands.
One of the most important moments in their history came during The Battle of the Molten Pass, where Emberclaw warriors, clad in their own masterwork armour, stood firm against an invading force from the southern regions. Their strategic use of the terrain and their superior equipment turned the tide of the battle, cementing their reputation as both formidable fighters and exceptional craftsmen.
In more recent times, Taramir Emberclaw, the current head of the clan, has shifted their focus slightly from purely military applications to more general industry, recognising the importance of diversification. However, their reputation for weaponry remains central to their identity.
