Civilization and Culture

History

Humans first arrived in Evelire when the Feddisian Empire came across the Dartara mountains. The Parzi people spread quickly across the Royal Coast until they were brought down by the high elves. At this point many fled south into the Schilf Desert, or north into the Krictis region, while the rest became serfs to the high elves. After two hundred years of servitude, the enslaved humans rose up, over throwing their high elven masters, and founded the Gagnan Empire.
There two centuries of enslavement by the high elves led to a deep distrust and eventual hatred of the fey, and this hatred, mixed with a fanatical perversion of Gouled's teachings lead the young empire down a path of dictatorial fascisms. They quickly conquered the Royal Coast by freeing human slaves and then turned their eyes north. The Gagnan Empire ruled with an iron fist for nearly nine centuries before being destroyed by the feyfolk, and their own over extension. However, these nine centuries gave the humans plenty of time to reach nearly every corner of the known world.

Human

In the reckonings of most worlds, humans are the youngest of the common races, late to arrive on the world scene and short-lived in comparison to dwarves, elves, and dragons. Perhaps it is because of their shorter lives that they strive to achieve as much as they can in the years they are given. Or maybe they feel they have something to prove to the elder races, and that's why they build their mighty empires on the foundation of conquest and trade. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds.
