Parod

This colorful, ferret-like creature is native to the continent of Damus. Swift animal and skillful hunter, its food mainly consists of smaller birds, all kinds of eggs, and many larger insects and caterpillars that live in the jungle. It also likes honey and pollen, and it happens that after a feast, a parod falls asleep in a larger orchid flower.
The parod looks like a larger hunting ferret, but has colorful fur and five legs: the extra limb is located on the left side of the females and on the right side of the males. Parod can run, climb, and dig very well, and it can swim if necessary. As with many of Narmiraen's fairies, immune to fairy magic and if it feels in danger, it can become invisible with a colorful mist, until it escapes.

Parods spend a significant part of their days sleeping, and the rest hunting and playing together. In a parod colony, up to a dozen adults can live together with their young. The young animals only leave the colony and find a new one when food becomes scarce, so in the Grove the observant wanderer can come across a colony of up to thirty members.
Parods love to play, not only with their kind but with anyone they don't see as a threat. They venture into populated areas, camps, and even adventurers backpacks. They like to play catch, hide-and-seek and have games similar to tug-of-war.
The Segaii are seen as pests, Bugits like to hunt them for their meat and colorful fur. Bena elves rarely encounter them, the druids and Greendragons in the Arboretum, keep them as pets. Parods can be loyal companions to magic users or any adventurers, due to their natural abilities and longevity.
