Baroness Conscia Veruth
The Baroness Conscia Veruth's official place of residence is her estate which lies in a heavily forested riverside glade a few hours' travel outside Mullay. There, she lives with her mother, uncle and two cousins. Their life is comfortable, granted by Conscia's nobility, they are tended to by a small entourage of six servants and kept secure by a number of house guards often ranging near a dozen.
Her estate is somewhat humble for a baron, yet is impeccably well kept, with a small but noteably bountiful garden gracing its frontage and an interior decor befitting a count.
Conscia's business often takes her away from her home and with her usually go a number of her house retinue. She spends most of her times in Mullay, where she has a dedicated room in Cloudback Keep, ruled by Lord Rhynn Obermas. Aside from there, she often travels the entirety of Ergel so as to collect her taxes, one of a number of dutiful activities she takes part in.
The baroness is commonly viewed as another cog in the system; she loyally does her duties as a baroness without batting an eye, often enforcing her ways on those who attempt to resist. Her reputation brought from now being a tax-collector give her an air of ferocity about her name, but those with hands on experience see her for a calm, collected and composed woman with a sense for politics and a potent -if disguised- eye for beauty and comedic irony.
Conscia gained her nobility the same way many Velians came into power; after the invasion of their lands by the hands of the Empire of Lowvire, she manipulated the fluctuations of power and was placed as first on a pecking order of sorts when a spot opened for a new baron.
