Mission 3:Fresh Meat

Intelligence has been received by the The Followers of Saint Atrose   indicating that the Karensky Consular  are training new recruits using live-fire exercises near the old town of Galanton. These trainees represent the next wave of those who would defend the enemies of the Faith. Annihilate these recruits and show them, and all future inductees, what they are signing up for. A Sister, and member of the Followers of St Altrose, came calling on the KotG. Sarella Estrine . She brings word that Karensky Consular (Tier 2) are in the field training a new batch of recruits. The Consular are openly the diplomatic wing of the Principality, but it is whispered that they are truly a hidden militant wing and covert police force. Primvach has a history with this group, and in particular with their leader Galen Barrick .
The training is taking place in Ataoei, which has access to a Space Elevator. Scans show "interesting behaviour" to the north, an electrical storm is threatening.
Rules of Engagement:

Annihilate all opposition;

No civilian casualties;

Take no prisoners.

The trainees are likely to be basic models, fast or light chassis armed with rifles.


The Morrigan sneaks in, using the electrical storm as cover.
The remaining Knives of the Gline , accompanied by Saviour, approach from the south. The storm is discovered to be no natural event, it is in fact generated by the large mech "Tempest ", proud member of The Hammers (Tier 3 Kerensky). Ruin maintains his stealthy approach.


Pontiff, The Ticker, and The Hammer engage the recruits and their trainer, Weldon. After some intitial exchanges Galen Barrick  arrives in Uproar, accompanied by his bodyguard Lyssa Wilder.
At the height of the fight, just as Tempest  was about to attack from the shelter of his storm Ruin struck.




The battle, while short, was particularly brutal. When the dust, and the storm, had settled only the KotG remained standing. Not one without some damage, structural or otherwise. The Morrigan suffered a severe breakdown.
Efforts were made to recover the Lightening Conductor from the wreckage of Tempest. --- Downtime

Remy "Ballbag" Selley  was not pleased to see his PFS-hired agents working for the Church. As an example he took Ma Familia. --- Outcome & Numbers (copied from Discord)

Brief: There has been intelligence that the Consular are training new recruits in live fire exercises near the old town of Galanton. The mission is annihilate the trainees. They represent the next wave of those who would defend the wicked. They will be armed so this is a fair fight, just show them and anyone in the vicinity, what they are signing up for.
Result : Success The knives went to kill a few trainees and maybe bloody the nose of Pontiff's old rival. They got a little more than they signed up for though as Galen Barrick  turned up with a friend and the hammers joined from the north. After the dust had settled only the knives were standing, though they had taken a pounding.
Rewards: The Followers of Saint Atrose   were impressed, and Saviour felt guilty. After extracting them from Kerensky Territory they paid with 9 Supply and 2 personnel.

Karensky Consular  (Tier 2 Karensky) -2 Foolish & Despised. Your desperate brutish tactics resulted got the better of the Henrik, and your companion made swift work of the glazier before you slaughtered the trainees. They will actively hunt you for revenge.

Entanglements When you returned, Jesse Lopow  turned up as he heard you took a job from the church. He was not very happy and demanded that he needs requisition Ma Familia (Furies Rapid Retribution ) to fight on the front line. It resulted in an encounter with Grief before he left.
