Bolden Barkskin

Bolden is an elderly human druid and the current Arch Druid (“The Great Tree) of the Circle of the Seed . Said to be over two hundred years old, he is considered a pillar of the Forest community, held in high esteem by the trees, creatures & denizens alike and is a powerful practitioner of life & nature magic.
Born and raised in the Quivering Forest, he has dedicated his life to healing and growth. His passion saw him accepted into the Cirlce of the Seed at a young age where his gifts were encouraged and developed. As his wisdom grew with age, so did his authority until he finally took up the mantle of the Great Tree at approx.104 years, his predecessor Mamarrus Bjon (also known as the Roots of Oak) "returned to the soil". t He is also said to have a keen interest in duels, magical and purely physical, the former of which he has competed in and shown himself not to be under estimated for his age.
His tenure as The Great Tree has to date proved a successful one and he remains a popular and respected, though he is not without enemies both within and without the Forest. His position allows him a voice and a vote on Leafholm's Circle to which he is a vocal and active contributor and has made efforts to expand its influence and support. He is a firm believer in the relationship between nature and civilisation, that one can feed the other in symbiosis and that together can forge much more than apart. As such, he is considered a moderating influence on the magics and creatures of the Quivering Forest, preaching restraint and understanding for all parties. This often leads him to siding with the outspoken, condemned or unrepresented in disputes and offering others a voice when they have none.
However, when action is called for he has lead his druidic circle to face a number of threats both within and without the Forest, using his magic and influence to fight when neccessary. He personally fought and was on the front lines of The Black Moon incursions, the War of the Beltranthi and was there as the caging of Squannixor the Abomination. Those that know him will explain that Bolden is not to be underestimated for his age or good nature and to be wary of awakening the power of the Forest in him.
