Downtime: First week in Phlan

General Summary

Ildreth

Ildreth spent most of his time recovering from his grievous injuries, however he was able to scrap together the right herbs from local vendors and healers to make a handful of minor healing potions at the expense of 25 gp a piece. Though he engaged in little small talk, he did pick up that many of the ingredients needed were found in the Quivering Forest north of Phlan but trade had been scarce since the increase in attacks & disappearances (of what nature, he could not infer).

Dustinby

Dustinby wandered Podol Plaza's market and stores but was disquieted to find that prices were high and the best goods and rates were only available to those wearing Merchant's Alliance insignia. After some haggling and a small bribe, he finally managed to acquire a Potion of Healing at 75 gp. If he wanted something more potent, he would need to deal with Merchant’s Alliance or go through less conventional means.   After asking around for where he might find a source of magical knowledge, he was directed to Scholar's Square , Phlan’s academic quarter and more specifically Mantor's Library . The Library was unlike anything he had ever seen, huge in its undertaking with multiple floors and chambers both above and below ground covering every conceivable topic. He would need to focus his researches and potentially seek assistance from the many scribes who staffed the library or even a local temple.

Atlender

Atlender Stormwind became a night owl, visiting the seediest dives in town for information – this inevitably led him into The Docklands. Heavy drinking & gambling cost 25 gp to loosen tongues but he discovered much. The Welcomers guild ran most of the town’s gambling circles and clipped ears could be seen in a lot of the locales. There was a lot of talk of draconian items and there were plenty of buyers ready to jump if anyone had information or the goods. He also learned of higher stakes games but he would need an introduction and a high buy in to see those tables. A few also commented that he might serve well in the local Pit Fights if it was gold and glory he was after. One name that did keep recurring was that if he wanted to deal with the Welcomers, then he should go see Dashmar Lithe, an import/export agent based out on the docks and known Welcomer fence.   In other areas he was not so fortunate. Though a few he spoke to knew of the Harpers, no one had any inkling of them in the town or region and the name Rallick drew a complete blank.
