The Venators

The Venators are led by Zav. In Tantlin, they control the Lower Wards, the Market Square, and portions of the Upper Wards. Their operations mostly involve racketeering to maintain control and keep the flow of gold open. When the portals were closed in 1491, their goals shifted to keeping the mortal populace pacified until such a time that the portals could be reopened. Their ranks are filled primarily of enforcers -- powerful and brutal Ice Devils specializing in melee combat. Even so, there were several powerful mages in their ranks.
