Elemental Plane of Air
The Elemental Plane of Air is one of the four main elemental planes. The plane, as the name suggests, is almost entirely filled with air. Impurities in the air tend to gather, forming pockets and bubbles of clouds, fog, steam, mist, smoke, poison, and acid. Liquid impurities also tend to gather together into spheres of water, assuming the water does not form clouds or be frozen by low temperatures. Solid matter is typically brought to the plane by intelligent creatures and inhabited. Wind is omnipresent throughout the plane, ranging from a light breeze to violent maelstroms. Many aerial creatures and air elementals inhabit the plane, and aarakocra originate in it. The plane is ruled by djinni, with their capital located in the Citadel of Ice and Steel
