Druí (DRU-ee)
Appointment
Following an apprenticeship as an Ærkakh the prospective Druí must face the Trial of Greenlife and the Hornking. During this trial, all of the skills, magic and relationships the Ærkakh are tested under the most crucial conditions they have ever faced in their lives. Their dedication to the Druí Roth Mohr, the Land, the Beasts and the People is measured. To pass they are expected to demonstrate a willingness to sacrifice all so the land and it's people may survive and thrive. If (for not all Ærkakh pass their trial) they pass, they are invested as Druí at the sacred circle where they served their first years as Ærkakh.
Once invested, the new Druí, goes through a complete cycle of the moon learning and being empowered to perform the ritual of Talún Gaes. Once so empowered, a new Druí is ready to serve the Druí Roth Mohr.

Benefits
Druí are offered hospitality wherever they travel in the Bryndlands. Whether it's the Great Hall of a Taisech, the Grand Seat of a Rígh, or a humble cottage on a lonely stretch of land. When a Druí wants for food or shelter, they are provided, to the measure that the host is capable. Sometimes, it's a seat at the high table during a grand feast and a warm bed with a down pillow to lay their head. Other times it's a shared bowl of thin gruel and a dry spot on the floor. In every case, extending hospitality to a Druí at your door brings blessings to the host and the household.
Druí also enjoy unrestricted travel throughout the Bryndlands. Regardless of feuds, tolls, or closed borders, the Druí (and those who travel with the Druí) is allowed free passage.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Druí carry a walking stick carved from a branch, donated from an oak growing in a Sacred Grove. The Shilleleagh is still living, and often inhabited by a spirit of the Greenlife. It blooms in spring, grows lush in summer, flourishes in the autumn, and sleeps in the winter.
When performing ceremonies and rituals, Druí often wear a wreath of holly upon their brow.
Druí carry a ritual sickle for harvesting magical reagents. The sickle is made of copper, bronze or silver, but never iron.
